4. Adding a New Portlet

In this walkthrough we will show how a new portlet can be created and added to OfficeClip. We will create a portlet called Events which will have a small monthly calendar

Standard OfficeClip control will be used to implement the new portlet. The following files are the part of this walkthrough:

homepage.aspx - The new portlet specification will be added in this file.
events.ascx - The portlet control file that displays the portlet.

When done, the portlet will appear at the OfficeClip Home Page and will look like this:
