Migrating OfficeClip Database

OfficeClip database can be migrated to a different sql server using the SQL Enterprise Manager or by using a program bundled with OfficeClip called octools.exe. The migration is carried out using the sql backup and restore command. Please note the following when migrating the database:

• The database login, password and the database name should match in the source and target database.
• When migrating from a windows authenticated database to sql authenticated database, make sure that the target database is restored with the sa account.
• An empty database needs to be created on the target server before the migration.
