Note: Do not use the ODBC connection string to write any data directly to the OfficeClip database. doing so may put the OfficeClip database to an inconsistent state and beyond repair.

1. Bring up the Windows Control Panel.



2. Select Administrtive Tools



3. Click on Data Sources (ODBC)



4. Click on Add... and then select the Sql Server



5. Type a recognizable name and enter the OfficeClip server name (Note: you can get the connection string parameter from the OfficeClip administrator
or looking in the web.config file (usually at c:\program files\officeclip\7\officeclip folder), then click Next.




6. Select Sql authentication and enter the OfficeClip login and password. See the step above on instructions on how to get the connection string parameter. and Click Next.



7. Change the Default database to the OfficeClip database and click Next



8. Click Finish



9. Click on Test Data Source...



10. Click Ok
