Setting SMTP in Microsoft Exchange

By default exchange server does not allow unauthenticated users to relay messages through the server. The following setup is needed to allow the OfficeClip server to be able to relay message through Excahnge.

1. Start the Exchange System Manager.
2. Right click on the Default SMTP Virtual Server node and select properties.
   
   
3. Click the Relay... button and bring up the Relay Restrictions screen. Click the radio button labeled Only the list below and uncheck the check box Allow all computers that successfully authenticate to the relay, regardless of the list above. Click the Add... button and bring up the screen titled Computer. Click the radio button labeled Single Computer and fill in the IP address of the OfficeCLip Server.
4. Change any other settings as appropriate and close Exchange System Manager.
