Setting SMTP Component in IIS
The SMTP server found in the INternet Information Services (IIS)
can be configured to send emails from OfficeClip. Following steps
will show how to setup the SMTP server for this purpose.
- Invoke the Internet Information Services utiliity from
the Administrative Tools menu in the Control Panel.
- Expand the tree on the left, right click on the Default SMTP
virtual server and click on Properties
- Click on the Access Tab and the click on
Authentication... button. Select only Anonymous
Authentication from the next screen as shown in the following
image.

- Click the Relay... button and bring up the Relay
Restrictions screen. Click the radio button labeled Only the
list below and uncheck the check box Allow all computers
that successfully authenticate to the relay, regardless of the list
above. Click the Add... button and bring up the screen
titled Computer. Click the radio button labeled Single
Computer and fill in the following as the IP address:
127.0.0.1. This is also shown in the figure below. Note: The
configuration discussed above is shown for a secured SMTP relay
settings. You can relax the security by changing the appropriate
settings.

- Change any other settings as appropriate and close Internet
Information Services.
