To install OfficeClip run setupNoSql.exe (instead of setup.exe) by double clicking on it.
During installation when asked for the Sql Server user id and password, use the
sa as the login id and the
sa password as the password. Type a database name that does not yet exist in the Sql Server.
You will need to enable the
Mixed Mode authentication in the Sql server and get the sa password from your administrator. Please note that SQL Server 2008 and 2012 are currently supported.
If the sa password is not available (or cannot be provided), ask your administrator to create a database login for you and also create an empty database for OfficeClip. Your login must have full privileges on this database.
Manual installation of OfficeClip is useful in situations where you do not have privileges to install OfficeClip by running the setup.exe program (for example at a hosting provider). It will allow you to copy (or ftp) all the files to the target machine, setup the application in the IIS and start OfficeClip. At this point OfficeClip will walk you through creation of all configuration files and database.
