Move Custom Code to a different installation
Quote from SK Dutta on July 31, 2021, 7:41 amWhen you create customization in OfficeClip using the custom folder, your customization is kept separate from the original OfficeClip code. Sometimes it is necessary to move this customization code to a new installation. Follow these steps:
- Install OfficeClip on the new machine without the customization code.
- Compress all the files below the InstallFolder/custom. For example if you have installed OfficeClip in c:\program files\officeclip\8 folder, then compress all the files in c:\program files\officeclip\8\custom (do not include the custom folder itself).
- Run octools.exe from your installed folder and select option 9. Custom Code Installer, then select the option that says, Upload Custom Code and specify the zip file. Then click on Apply.
Note: If you have old custom reports (using Crystal Reports) and you are transferring custom code to another machine where 8.2.4 (or higher) is installed, please contact OfficeClip first. OfficeClip is phasing out Crystal Reports in favor of RDL Reports.
